Ullswater and Surrounding Area
The Ullswater area must surely be one of the most spectacular valleys in the whole of the National Park with its truly beautiful lake where you can enjoy lake cruises, boat hire and canoeing.
Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District and a very popular destination for cottage holidays. The surrounding areas is peppered with charming chocolate box villages where you will find many of our Ullswater cottages.
Our cottages in Hartsop are some of the most characterful in the Ullswater area – oak beamed and full of history dating back to the 17th Century, nestled in the mountains and surrounded by fine walking country. Further down the valley we have cottages in Patterdale sleeping from just two up to nine and all offering a fine base for your Lake District Holiday. Glenridding holiday cottages are village based and close to the local shops, boating jetties and the well-known Ullswater steamers that ply the lake.
Another fantastic choice of destination when looking for cottages around Ullswater are the little villages of Dockray and Dacre where you will find charming holiday cottages offering a high degree of comfort. Our cottages around Watermillock are varied indeed offering a range of sizes sleeping from two to eight and all with lake and mountain views.
Select one of our delightful holiday cottages in the Ullswater area and we hope you will be pleased with your choice. There is much to do in the Ullswater area from water sports to mountain biking and fell walking amid the spectacular scenery.
