    “This is a beautiful property set in a lovely, quiet village where the only thing we could hear was birdsong.”

    All of the facilities are great. It isn’t clear, but the downstairs bedroom has a shower room next to it which is effectively a wet room, but lovely looking. And although it isn’t en-suite, it is separated by a door from the kitchen, so is completely private. Really suitable for someone with limited mobility. Would definitely visit again.

The coastal village of Allonby 2.8 miles. Nestled in the idyllic hamlet of Allerby, near the village of Allonby, Cumbria, is this beautifully presented barn conversion. This inviting dwelling is an ideal base for families and friends looking to explore the northern lakes, Cumbria’s coastline or venture to the buzzing foodie market town of Cockermouth and Keswick. Upon arrival you are greeted by off-road parking for two cars, positioned directly outside the property so you can easily unload your belongings. Step inside and make yourself at home in the light and airy open plan lounge and dining area, complete with two sofas, an electric fire and Smart TV, inviting you to settle down and enjoy a movie night. Dust off those cooking books in the kitchen, equipped with all the necessities for home-cooking, including a washing machine so you won’t have to pack your whole wardrobe! Once breakfast, lunch or dinner is ready, gather at the dining table, comfortably seating six people, a great spot for spending quality time together and planning the following day’s adventures. Spend a moment in the front patio, sipping on a cold beverage or morning coffee. The ground-floor plays host to a double bedroom and wet room, ideal for those with limited mobility, whilst the second-floor offers two neatly presented doubles boasting exposed beams, one of which features an en-suite bathroom and the other offers an en-suite shower room.
