    “We've been visiting The Grange for around ten years, and it never disappoints.”

    The house is perfectly located, close enough to Windermere for convenience, but far enough away for peace and quiet. Excellently maintained and equipped, the owners always have a surprise for us with the work that they've done to improve it from year to year. It's very much our happy place!

Location This unique self-catering property offers easy access to the lake shore, and also the popular villages of Windermere and Bowness. Windermere village centre is just a five minute walk away, ideal for stocking up the kitchen; there you'll find a large Booths supermarket well stocked with the best local produce as well as everyday essentials. The High Street has a traditional butcher, several restaurants and cafes together with pubs serving real Lakeland ale. Bowness village is a busier tourist destination, just a couple of miles away. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip.
