“Great location, close to everything in Windermere but still very quiet.”

Spacious, comfortable and well set up inside. Only negative is the on site parking is very tight.

“A fantastic flat!”

Really spacious and comfortable with great facilities. It is also well soundproofed so little noise from other flats or the main road. There are two flights of stairs to get up to the first floor, but these are inside the property. Thanks to the owners for being so accommodating to us during an extended stay - we really appreciate it. Can highly recommend. Thank you!

“The property was very nice, but we could not understand why there was no frying pan available in the kitchen, never experienced that.”

We thought there should have been window blinds in the lounge area. But overall it was a very comfortable and well situated property.

“Fantastic apartment.”

2nd time of using. Perfect location so close to Windermere but quiet. Inside clean, well presented and well equipped. If i had one comment to make, the outside is a little scruffy due to the lower apartment looking empty. If Raffley's had an outside area or balcony to relax / chill it would be perfect.

“Me and my busband stayed at Raffleys for a week in mid May.”

The appartment is absolutely lovely, was very clean and has everything you need. The bed was so comfortable, the appartment is very large but the lounge is so cozy with comfortable sofas, you can just relax and chill We really enjoyed our week and would highly recommend. We will definitely return.

“Absolutely beautiful property with large, bright and airy rooms.”

Well equipped modern kitchen with everything you could need (including a coffee machine) if you decide to eat in. The bedrooms were really spacious and the beds were really comfortable. The whole property is decorated beautifully and is in a perfect location- plenty of lovely restaurants and pubs/bars right on your doorstep. We ate in the Italian on the corner and it was gorgeous. The lake was a 15-20 minute walk away which was perfect for us. Would highly recommend this property and we would absolutely love to come back and stay here again.

“Lovely property, perfect location.”

Disappointing no welcome pack, even not a pint of milk, which is unusual. One small point, a kitchen knife block and a few more glasses would have been useful. Thanks for a lovely stay, would definitely recommend. Liz

“Very well refurbished lots of space.”

Lots of dust on the bathroom and toilet floor dont think they had been cleaned. Glass cupboard in kitchen could do with a clean. Other than that we were very happy with the flat.. Thank you.. Bernie McDonnell.

“We had a lovely stay at Raffleys, the apartment is very spacious and we were all very comfortable.”

It is beautifully furnished and we loved the window seats! It is well placed for all the areas we wanted to visit and only a very short walk into Windermere centre with all the shops and restaurants. We would love to stay again when we next visit the Lake District

“We had an absolutely brilliant stay at Raffleys, a beautiful apartment in a period property.”

The apartment has been renovated to the highest standard and is stylish and well- furnished, with everything we wanted. The kitchen is well-equipped and the shower brilliant (these things are important to us!), super comfortable bed, huge TV and good tech, meaning I could get some work done while on holiday. The flat is in a great location, an easy 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants and perfect for exploring the Lake District. We loved everything about our stay and look forward to visiting again. “The property was in a very convenient position only 3 mins walk into Windermere village.”

On arrival at the property the house appeared a bit run down from the outside. But on entering the 1st floor property it was very stylish and very clean with all the amenities you would need. However despite our stay during the mild weather the back bedroom and living room were cold rooms until the heating which was on a timer came on. The security light outside the property only comes on when you are close to the front door so very dark on approach at night. There is also no outside seating area for the summer months. Despite being a beautifully furnished property we probably wouldn’t return because of the few issues we had.

Thank you for the feedback. Raffleys is a new property to the market, and we are really pleased with how it is working. Continuous upgrading is taking place including external paintwork, and lighting. There is a very high standard of insulation within the apartment which means it holds its heat well. If additional heat is required the thermostat has a boost button which boosts the heating for an hour at a time. Instructions will be found in the welcome pack. The property is cosy, welcoming and has everything you need. Check-in instructions are clear (which is useful as I might have missed the turning!). And the gentleman I met (forgive me I have forgotten his name) was pleasant and gave good recommendations for food and drink places. Overall 10/10, will recommend to friends, thanks very much!

The elegantly furnished Engadine apartment is located in the thriving Cumbrian town of Windermere. This spacious first-floor apartment is perfect for families, groups of friends, and couples. It features a distinctive design with whitewashed walls for a light and airy touch. When you arrive, park your car in a designated area and then go to the first level to find your vacation home. Two comfortable sofas, a Smart TV set on the wall, and a lovely window seat are all included in the sitting area, where you may unwind with a nice book. As you enter the home, you'll see the kitchen/diner, which is furnished with shaker-style cabinets and has all the modern conveniences as well as dining seating for family meals. After a day of exploration, freshen up in the modern bathroom before selecting one of the two quaint bedrooms. A four-poster king-size bedroom and a bedroom with 2 single beds for variable sleeping arrangements and an electric stove are also available. The thriving town of Windermere is well-known for its scenic surroundings and variety of outdoor pursuits, with many golf courses at a short distance away. You may visit places like The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, National Trust - Claife Viewing Station and Wray Castle on the west shores of Windermere Lake, Treetop Trek at Brockhole Visitor Centre, as well as a lot of cafes like Homeground Coffee + Kitchen. Ambleside, to the north of the lake, is a pleasant town to pause for lunch before going for a stroll through the surrounding countryside, such as a visit to Stock Ghyll Force Waterfall or Galava, Ambleside Roman Fort, which is a must-see for budding historians. Travel east to Kendal to sample the famous mint cake, learn about local history at Kendal Museum, and see the hilltop ruins of Kendal Castle. A short drive south will take you to the National Trust's 14th-century Sizergh Castle and the Elizabethan Levens Halls, where you can explore elegant halls and formal gardens.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip.
