“Once we arrived at the property the ground floor accommodation was very dirty.”
I had to hoover up dust and cobwebs from behind the bed and bedside tables so I was able to plug in my phone charger. There was a damp musty smell that took a few days to disappear and even then it was only after I’d brought some air freshener.

The facilities are very dated. In the ground floor kitchen the cupboards have clearly been damaged by water leaks. The washing machine too forever to do 1 cycle and the dryer didn’t work. The shower is only any good for washing your hair bent over the bath. Although there was another bathroom with a shower in it, that had very poor pressure and was constantly either too hot or cold, not ideal when you have children trying to shower.
The upstairs kitchen was well equipped but lacked space to be able to provide a meal for 6 people. Because of this we ate out every night which made the stay a lot more expensive than it needed to be. The majority of the cupboards were filled with utensils and appliances so there was nowhere to put food away.
For the amount of space that is available in 2 of the rooms I feel larger beds would be better- may be a larger double of even king size. It’s not designed for the larger person (the hubby not me) . I was glad to get home just to get some sleep.
Again the dryer in the upstairs kitchen didn’t dry the clothes. Thankfully there was an airer we could use but had to limit what we put on it as it wasn’t drying quickly.
Unfortunately I would not stay again.
