“Very central, and convenient for Keswick Convention.”
Parking in the church car park nextdoor was very useful. It was very clean. We would stay again. However, the property needs maintaining: there was mould on a wall of the master bedroom (suspect it needs more ventilation!), the shower sliding door had one roller broken (still usable, but needs careful handling), the curtain rails in a couple of rooms were missing the stops, meaning that when we arrived the curtains were falling off because they'd been pulled back too far, and the blind in the ...
Parking in the church car park nextdoor was very useful. It was very clean. We would stay again. However, the property needs maintaining: there was mould on a wall of the master bedroom (suspect it needs more ventilation!), the shower sliding door had one roller broken (still usable, but needs careful handling), the curtain rails in a couple of rooms were missing the stops, meaning that when we arrived the curtains were falling off because they'd been pulled back too far, and the blind in the bathroom had its handle broken off and sitting on the window sill. On the last evening the hot water failed: on inspection the heating circuit pressure was low, hence easily fixed if you knew what you were doing, but clearly no one had checked it for a while. Crockery was enough for four people, but it was very much the case of washing up after each meal. There was a bottle of hand soap in the bathroom, but it was almost empty when we arrived, and there were only 4 dishwasher tablets (for a week?!) yet there were two bottles of washing up detergent, giving the impression that no one had checked these things.
One point to note: there appears to be very little insulation between the floors of the flats. We could hear someone above us snoring in the evening! Outside noise was not a problem.
Overall the property itself is fine: just needs whoever is managing it to do more than clean.
