This traditional, miner's end terrace stone-built cottage was renovated in 2010 and offers cosy, comfortable accommodation in a delightful village setting. It's handy for everything with various pubs, cafes and places to eat out within strolling distance, a short walk to the lake for steamer cruises and boat hire and numerous high fell walks and rambles for all ages. Glenridding is a hill walkers' paradise - The route to Helvellyn passes the door for those who wish the challenge of one Lakeland's most iconic peaks, or you could take the steamer along Ullswater to Howtown and enjoy the scenic walk back along the eastern side of the lake. St Sunday Crag and High Street are within walking distance. Well stocked local shops cater for your daily needs so there is very little need to use the car everyday although Millcroft is also perfectly placed for touring to all parts of the National Park.
Accommodation: The usual entrance is at the back door from the parking behind the cottage - into the well equipped dining/kitchen. The large sitting room to the front of the cottage has two leather sofas, log burner and free-view TV, Wi-Fi , sound system in lounge,(starter basket of logs included). Stairs to the first floor access the two bedrooms - a very good king-double to the front with radio,docking station/alarm, and a smaller twin to the rear. The bathroom has bath with shower over, basin and wc).
The cottage has a light and modern feel with fitted carpets throughout the main living areas, oil fired central heating and everything you need for a holiday in any season - a cosy retreat after a day in the fells.
Outside: Private parking for one car behind the cottage. Neat patio garden with room to sit or eat out of doors. Shops, lake, pubs and cafes less than five minutes walk.

This was our second visit to this charming cottage with its lovely furniture & fictures & fittings. Very cosy, clean & tidy. We’ll be back again, hopefully this Autumn.Mrs Hushon-Brown
