"Quietly situated on the edge of Chapel Stile, Tabitha's is one of a small number of former quarry workers terraced cottages which has been internally re-planned whilst retaining its true cottage feel.
There are views across the valley to Baysbrown and Lingmoor Fell. This really is a walkers' paradise - footpaths to the Langdale Pikes and Silver Howe start at the cottage and you can also enjoy riverbank walks to Dungeon Ghyll at the head of Great Langdale and to the villages of Elterwater and Skelwith Bridge in the other direction.
Chapel Stile village has a well-stocked Co-op, a Post office open two days per week and a good pub, as does Elterwater a further mile distant. The Ambleside/Dungeon Ghyll bus stops near the Co-op in Chapel Stile.
