views and a fine rural setting for Castlerigg, which nestles on the lower slopes of Blencathra just over half a mile from the village of Threlkeld and within the grounds of the Blencathra Centre. Castlerigg is ideally placed for walking amidst some of Lakeland's finest peaks, nearby paths will take you to the summits of Blencathra and Skiddaw or you can explore the trails up the valley and join the Cumbria Way on its northern route through the National Park.
