Low Brow is a split level detached barn conversion, built of Lakeland stone, one of a small cluster of Lakeland properties - formerly a farm - close to the centre of Coniston village, and handy for a short stroll down the hill into the village for shopping, pubs and cafes.
Coniston Water is peaceful and picturesque for sailing and canoeing whilst the beautiful Steam Yacht Gondola offers you a chance to cruise on the lake amid wonderful scenery. Coniston Old Man is accessible without any need to use the car. Nearby Grizedale Forest offers miles of trails for walking, rambling, mountain biking and 'Go Ape'.
Accommodation: The cottage offers a well-equipped, stylish and modern interior whilst retaining character features with beams and deep set windows. Front door entrance from covered porch into the spacious sitting/dining room (BT TV, DVD, radio, CD log burning stove and free Wi-Fi). There are four steps up to both the newly fitted kitchen and bathroom (power shower, basin and wc).
To the other end of the cottage an inner hallway accesses the two bedrooms - one double and one twin and there are good views from the main windows towards the fells beyond the village.
The property is furnished throughout in a contemporary cottage style with wooden floors and carefully chosen colours. Electric heating and hot water system.
Outside: There is parking strictly for one car in a named space right at the cottage door. An elevated patio to the rear of the property has table and chairs and fine lake views over Coniston Water. Please note that the cottage is reached up a shared drive. Village shops and pubs 5 mins walk.
