North Lodge is one of our most popular cottages and offers comfortable accommodation for four in two en-suite bedrooms.

This delightful detached Victorian lodge is in a rural location, set back from the Ambleside to Keswick road under Butter Crags, on the outskirts of Grasmere. There are good views and a pleasant garden commented on by many visitors, and delightful footpath walks right from the door. Grasmere village centre is easily reached on foot by local footpaths, and has good shopping and places to eat, gift shops and galleries. Ambleside is three miles away.

Accommodation: A porch has been added to the front door leading to a comfortable beamed sitting room with green slate fireplace (open fire, TV, DVD, video, CD/radio), a door leads to the kitchen/dining room. On the first floor there are two bedrooms - a double bedded room with en-suite bath, basin and wc and a twin with en-suite shower, basin and wc.

The cottage is cosy and comfortable with electric night storage and convector heating and retains character features including beams, stonework and interesting roof lines. Double glazing throughout.

Outside: As well as the garden with level seating area there is dedicated parking behind the cottage for two cars.  Pub (The Swan hotel) a third of a mile, Grasmere centre approx three quarters of a mile.
