A detached property, very carefully designed to provide everything for your holiday comfort and well-placed on the outskirts of Grasmere. Built in traditional style, Heronsyde is constructed to the highest possible standard with particular attention paid to insulation and overall fuel efficiency.

Accommodation: Sloping path with some steps to the entrance porch and into hallway. The main living area (TV, DVD and free Wi-Fi) is open plan with a modern well-equipped kitchen area at one end. Interesting feature fireplace with large corner hearth and log burning stove. On either side of the fireplace are patio windows which open out onto a large outside verandah that runs along the side and corner of the house. Pleasant outlooks from all the front windows with many trees and the mountain tops above.

Two bedrooms. The first has en-suite shower room with zip linked double/twin bed - this can be made up as either a superking-size double or a twin but please order in advance. The second is a twin and there is a second bathroom with bath with shower over, basin, bidet and wc.

Furnishings are comfortable and in traditional style. Fitted carpets throughout. Bathrooms have underfloor heating, heated towel rails and additional fan heaters.

Heronsyde is built on a sloping site with a good double garage beneath where there is a separate laundry area with washer, dryer and sink. Drying racks with panel heating for wet gear.

Outside: Natural garden with wild flowers, with steps to sitting out area (garden furniture provided) and ample parking. Table football in the garage.  Safe bike storage in garage.  Pub (The Swan hotel) a third of a mile, Grasmere centre approx three quarters of a mile.
