New property just added to our portfolio
Detached cottages for two are rare in the Lake District so we know that Over the Way will be much sought after and ideal for either a relaxing or romantic stay and a place from which to explore the beautiful surroundings. The cottage is close to the famous Mortal Man and an easy walk to the Queen's Head, a handy little village store is along the road. With so many walks to do from the door you may never need to use the car once you have settled in. Troutbeck is one of the most photographed villages in The Lakes and beloved of artists for its wonderful landscapes and character properties. Whatever season of the year you choose you will find Over the Way a delightful destination for your Lake District holiday. Don't miss a visit to either of the two famous local hostleries for either a tasty lunch or a delicious evening meal, take a ramble along picturesque country lanes and admire the wonderful character properties - some of the most ancient in the area. The National Trust Yeoman's House 'Townend' is at the other end of the village and is well worth a visit to see a character home at work.
Over the Way will make a great base for touring the whole of the National Park.
The front door is reached up steps to the first floor covered balcony which makes an ideal spot for a lazy glass of wine or your morning coffee whilst you plan your busy day. The entrance hallway has room for your outdoor gear and leads through to the bright and sunny open plan lounge/ dining kitchen with its ample comfy seating, Flat screen TV with freeview and DVD player, and fine south facing open views. Off the hall is the spacious super king bedroom and opposite the entrance is the bathroom, with walk-in shower, basin and wc. and washer/dryer.
Furnishings are comfortable with relaxing colours and the property has everything you need for a holiday in a delightful location.
Over the Way is set in a small courtyard with private parking just past the gate on the right in front of the cottage. There is no passing traffic. At top of the external slate steps at the front door to the property is a seating area for two, just the spot to enjoy a quiet glass of wine or your morning cuppa.
