“My wife and I came to the Lake District for our honeymoon, and this house was absolutely perfect for our stay.”

It’s perfectly located as only a short 5 min walk into town, the house itself is incredible, the cinema room was the real highlight. We are already planning on coming back and staying again.

“The property was lovely overall and we had a lovely stay.”

There were a few aspects that we would like to raise: - the bathroom on the 3rd floor needs refreshing and the doors won’t lock, the extractor fan is also not working - the property was not as clean as expected, a lot of dust and marks - there were no shower gels/shampoos provided and we expect these to be standard with bookings from experience - no tea/coffee was provided Otherwise, we have no complaints and the cinema room is amazing!

“Entering the house was so welcoming.”

Lights and heating were on so everything felt homely. No expense had been spared in the design and execution of the decor. We were very impressed with the heating controls which sensed motion as you walk by. The kitchen was amazing, so modern, yet the lounge felt more traditional and cozy. Bedrooms were tasteful and master bedroom was superb. We had a very comfortable stay and would dearly have liked to stay longer. Our celebration was a daughters 40th birthday and we were mixed ages. We enjoyed a lovely evening in the cinema room, singing along to karaoke songs on uTube! Knowing it was soundproofed! A lovely touch by the owner with popcorn and machine available. It’s clear that a lot of effort has been put into the comfort of the property and also kept the ambiance of the Lake District. Lovely

So good we found it hard to go out and explore! Everything top quality, its hard to believe someone would put such effort into a holiday let, will be back soon. Windermere is a great little place to stay, quieter than Bowness but an easy walk in, some fantastic places to eat and drink.

“I have stayed at many places and this has to be one of the best, sykes made the booking process very easy and the accommodation exceeded all expectations, the house has everything!”

The pictures don't really show off how big the place actually is and even when arriving it didn't look as big as once you actually get inside, the house was very spacious especially for our full party of adults. Windermere Town is a roads walk away which was very handy for breakfasts and getting all the essentials we needed. Would definitely recommend and will 100% come back in the future.

“Amazing stay, would hugely recommend!”

5 star accommodation with amazing cinema room which 100% made the stay. Great location. Only things to note - when we arrived there was a mouldy apple under the table & a dirty nappy left in one of the bedroom bins. No complimentary toiletries, not enough toilet roll or dishwasher tablets for our 5 night stay. Also would have been nice to have garden chairs outside. However, this would not put us off staying again!

The Owner has taken a lot of time and effort into building this beautiful holiday home so we are glad to hear you enjoyed it. We are sorry to hear of the cleaning deficiencies we have raised this with the Housekeeper - we apologise profusely for this. Regarding the toilet rolls and dishwasher tablets, we have encouraged all of our owners to only leave 1 toilet roll per toilet just to get guests started. Lastly the property has some chairs in the front garden and has some outside seating on order for the rear as well but it has been delayed. Hopefully it will be in place if you return. Thanks again. The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park.
