“We’ve had a lovely week in the lakes , we found the lodge to be clean and comfortable, although the cushions on the sofa are very old and grubby , they need throwing away!”

There’s a cupboard with lots of games and books for children in the living area , also a good selection of DVD’s . The kitchen is lovely but could do with a couple more basic items such as a bread bin , a couple of basins/ large jugs and some wooden spoons. There’s plenty of hooks for hanging coats / bags etc in the cupboard and the washer dryer is very handy and works well ! ...

There’s a cupboard with lots of games and books for children in the living area , also a good selection of DVD’s . There’s plenty of hooks for hanging coats / bags etc in the cupboard and the washer dryer is very handy and works well ! Out side is a large decking area with some lovey wicker garden furniture complete with cushions etc but the large pine tree in the middle of the decking makes an awful mess with bits dropping off it everywhere, therefore the furniture is covered in pine needs etc . The lodge is situated on a corner with a road running past , therefore you get a lot of people and dog walkers passing all the time which set our dogs off barking a lot . I would not use this lodge again for these reasons .

“Amazing stay and break in this lodge.”

My family were so happy. The kitchen was fully equipped. Thank you very much for everything. Only little things .. the pillow sheet in the master room has dirty spot like a dry sticky chewing gum and we had to keep it away and not to slip on it. Also the towels have lots of stains and black/brown spots.

“In general we found the property to be of a good standard.”

Even better if I hadn’t had to buy batteries to get TV remotes working and the main bathroom towel rail desperately needs replacing as it is showing it’s age from having wet towels placed on it. These are small low cost things to correct. The park itself is excellent with access to the fells and a small but well stocked shop on site. We will visit again.

“Comfortable and clean lodge, perfect for 2 families (total 6 people).”

Short drive to Windermere lake and the towns around it. Kitchen was fully kitted out and got lots of use q, and lounge area very comfortable with lots of natural light. Dvd player had some movies supplied which was a nice touch. Didn't try out the ps2 player. Downsides - difficult to control the shower temperature, kept swinging between too hot then lukewarm no matter how we turned the knob. WiFi was down for the whole weekend and we couldn't get good mobile signal until near Windermere town. Luckily we saved the codes and house details beforehand. Overall, nice stay, would go again if the shower temperature was fixed!

but just a few little problems the fire was not working in the room we tried everything but would not work . the tv in the bedroom would not change channel so could not watch tv. the rail in the bathroom on the shower screen was broken and hanging of. but these are just small problems the lodge itself was lovely we enjoyed are stay

“Fellhaven Lodge is really nice and perfectly located for a holiday in the Lake District.”

The lodge has everything you need and is spotlessly clean, there were only two of us staying in the lodge so we had more than enough room. The site has a pub/restaurant which we used several times, the food was good and the staff were very friendly. Our only criticism of Fellhaven lodge would be that the sofa’s where very uncomfortable, after a day out they weren’t the best of things to sit on! I would of given 5 stars if they had been better.

“Loved the location and the lodge was lovely.”

Had issues with spider webs on curtain rails . Also freezer door wouldn’t close .had to chip away a lot of ice so it shut properly. Sofas are a little uncomfortable especially after walking all day . Other then that had a fantastic time and will definitely be coming back

“This Lodge was excellent.”

It was clean and tidy and had plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc, so we were able to cook. There were a few cleaning products (i.e. dishwasher tablets, cloths, air spray) which were really handy. Use of a washer/dryer was great, as we went away during a rainy week. I loved having an en-suite with the main bedroom and the kids were impressed to have a tv in their rooms. They also found the stash of games in the cupboard under the kitchen island. The lodge was full of home comforts and contained DVD's, books and leaflets of local attractions and restaurants. The park itself is a little isolated (i.e. you need to drive to go anywhere more commercial) but we knew this when we booked. There is a pub onsite and the food was nice and reasonably price. There is a small shop, but the range of items is quite limited, so if you wanted food to cook a meal, you would need to travel further afield. We had a lovely stay and the Lodge is the best that we have stayed in. What did you enjoy most about your stay? “We were a family of 6 arriving at the lodge at around 5 in the afternoon.”

Everything was perfectly setup. We could buy a few essentials from the reception and our entry into the actual lodge was quite easy. The lodge was in excellent condition and very clean. We found our welcome package at the lodge. We spend 4 nights at the lodge and found it to be an excellent experience. We had quite a nice time. We could visit nearby locations like the steamer rides at Glenridding and Wordsworth's place of birth at Cockermouth. What did you enjoy most about your stay? “Had a great weekend in this Fabulous lodge.”

Outdoor space is amazing and we made full use of it with the gorgeous weather we had. Really comfy sofa and chairs on the south facing decking, we even had a barbecue. The park is so peaceful and very clean. The lodge itself is beautiful with 3 good sized bedrooms with very comfy beds. The large open plan lounge was perfect and the kitchen area was fab with all cooking facilities you could need, we didn What did you enjoy most about your stay? “This was mainly a walking get away holiday but was pleased with the facilities and on site restaurant was a nice experience although it would of been better personally if they had regular pepsi as opposed to all sugar free kinds and this wasn't explained by the bar staff until the alcohol was poured.”

“Enjoyed a relaxing Christmas break in Fellheaven.”

The kitchen was modern and spacious with every utensil needed to ensure a stress free Christmas meal. There was plenty of room in the bedrooms and the master bedroom enjoyed ensuite facilities. There was a hairdryer (we forgot ours) and a washing machine/dryer in the cupboard which I think is a great help for families. The outside area would be lovely in good weather (we didnt?!) with all the facilities for outside eating. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon. This was our second stay at fellhaven and we notice they have made a lot of inprovement to the bathroom. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. It's a little bit remote but the overall standard of the park is very good and Fellhaven Lodge was excellent, modern, clean comfortable with all the facilities you could wish for. The lodge was very luxurious and very well equipped. It was in a great location as well. My only disappointment was that the heating was verry difficult to switch on. “We had a thoroughly relaxing time in Fellhaven at Limefitt, it had a bit of a wow factor when we walked in as we weren't expecting it to be so fancy, but it does look better than the pictures.”

The children settled well in their bedrooms with comfy beds and thick curtains, The double bedroom also had an excellent mattress and the dressing room/walk in wardrobe was a fantastic addition. The living room offered perfect space for the family to eat at the table, lots of room and surfaces to get out maps and plan our days out and the folders of leaflets and info were very useful. The packs of guided walks sorted into areas of the Lakes were fab and we used a few of them. We ate in most nights and the kitchen provided everything you could need for that purpose, in that respect it was stocked better than standard self catering accommodation. Being out of busy Windermere meant our time was peaceful and restorative and easy to avoid crowds and traffic with good trips out to Glendinning and the foot of Hellvellyn, a walk around ambleside, a short hike up the hill behind the pub and also a highlight for our boys was meeting Donald Campbells daughter and looking around the museum. A walk up Old Man, so many interesting ruins and artefacts to look at on the way for children.

“We had a really lovely stay at Fellhaven.”

It's a lovely lodge with beautiful surroundings and ideal location for the Lake District and very well equipped for a family. Loved the outdoor decking space sat in a morning with a cup of tea. My one and only point is that the bed sheet in the main double bedroom had stains on it which looked like blood stains which hadn't been able to be washed it. New sheet I think is needed. It didn't smell that fresh either and there were hairs in the bed which made us think it had not been changed. You don't have to put this on the website I don't mind it's just for your info really. “We arrived at the appointed time and found our lodge to be very clean and comfortable and in a stunning location.”

There was a playground, river and sports field for my grandchildren to let off steam in after a long car journey. I was pleased to notice a separate field for dog walkers to use, so no danger of children stepping in dog mess. We were up and out early every morning to enjoy exploring the beautiful places near by. We cruised the length of Lake Windermere and enjoyed a trip on the steam train to Haverthwaite. We visited Hawkshead, Grasmere and Lake Coniston. All within a fairly short distance from our lodge. Being National Trust members we enjoyed a visit to Beatrix Potter's house and a morning walk around the beautiful Tarn Howe. We had to leave the lodge by 10 a.m. on our last morning , but we visited a couple of places, before the drive home to Derbyshire. It would have been nice to have been able to access the lodge before 3 pm on the first day and to leave at maybe 11a.m. on our last day, but I understand cleaning has to be done. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. ( although we did eat out for most meals). We all agreed that we had enjoyed our stay there. The lake cruise and steam train for children and adults.

“We have recently enjoyed an 11 night stay at Fellhaven, our party being 3 adults and 2 children.”

Lodge was modern, beds comfortable, well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and a washing machine tucked into the boiler cupboard. TV's in all bedrooms and a play station with numerous games went down well with the children. The master bedroom has a walk in wardrobe and en-suite, plus there is another bathroom, with shower over the bath. A home from home really. Limefitt Park is in a good position for exploring the Lake District and we did several walks direct from the site. Enjoyed an evening drink at the Haybarn Inn at the top of the park and also had a Sunday breakfast there which was lovely, but food service slow the morning we went. Play park area is stunning and you can even have a paddle in the river. Our daughter had a go at pony trekking which is a short walk away. Recommend a lovely walk to the Mortal Man Pub. “A great location in a beautiful valley with nice walks direct from the doorstep.”

The owners had asked about feedback in consideration to adding a hot tub and this would be great at the end of a days walk with plenty of space on the large decking. The lounge area is relatively tight to allow for the nice new kitchen, maybe put a chair in to replace one of the sofa's and allow use of the space around the breakfast bar. “The lodge was immaculate and very comfortable.”

We did a 12.5 mile walk from the park on the Saturday and it was lovely to come back to a warm lodge with all mod cons. The only downside would be the water pressure of the shower which wasn't very good and was made worse when two people showered at the same time! “Nice accommodation, well-equipped and in a peaceful location.”

Fairly comfortable and homely, with a modern kitchen and a lovely decking area shaded by trees. We had a brilliant four-night stay, and Fellhaven proved an ideal base from which to explore the wider region. Our only bugbear was the quality of the single beds, which would benefit from having better quality mattresses. The existing ones appear to be well-used, concave and quite uncomfortable. This was immediately apparent because there were four adults in our party, two of which had to sleep in the single beds. Perhaps, had this been just children sleeping in them, the poor quality of the mattresses wouldn't have been so noticeable. It's a shame, because otherwise the lodge was a nice find and we would have liked to re-book again at some point had our night's sleep been better.. What did you enjoy most about your stay? No pets allowed which was ideal for us. Excellent pub on site but dogs allowed which was a drawback. Don't like to hear dogs barking whilst eating. “Limefit park is a beautiful, tranquil,location ideal for a base to stay for fellwalkers,hikers or anyone just wanting a peaceful break away in the lakedistrct and it is only five minutes drive away from bowness.”

Our stay was at fellhaven lodge,which was very clean and tidy and very well equipped with all the home comforts you need. The beds were extremely comfy and the lounge,kitchen diner area was lovely and spacious. There is a lovely decking seating area outside and also a separate seating area where there is a small BBQ. “We booked the lodge and on arrival found happily, that it lived up to its advertisement.”

It was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with items for entertainment, linen and towels as well as sundries, that make it ideal whether the weather is sunny or wet. It is ideally situated to be close enough to Ambleside and Windermere, as well as local footpaths. We found the management staff, very accommodating and helpful. We highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys the lifestyle of the lake District, and we will definitely be returning to this lodge. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Welcome to Fellhaven, a comfortable three bedroom holiday lodge Fellhaven is a spacious holiday lodge in the Ullswater area of Limefitt Park. The lodge enjoys a quiet and private location with two separate deck areas, one of which surrounds a mature pine tree. Fellhaven is ideal for families or couples sleeping up to 6 people plus an infant in a travel cot. The lodge is fully equipped to ensure a comfortable stay. A home from home. Fellhaven now welcomes 2 well behaved dogs. Ambleside 5 miles; Kendal 8.7 miles.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.

Fellhaven is accessed by 4 wooden steps. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level.

A travel cot will fit in the twin bedroom only, at a squeeze. Please bring your own travel cot and highchair as they are not provided.

Park Rules and Operations – Limefitt

All holiday parks are owned and managed by a separate company to ourselves. Lake District Lodge Holidays has no association with the owners of these parks or responsibility for the provision of services they offer. At certain times of year, there maybe a reduction in those services, which is outside of our control.

Commercial vehicles, caravans, camper vans, Hen or Stag parties are not permitted onsite. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are not be left alone in the lodges at any point during your stay.

You will be staying on an operational holiday park, which means work may be undertaken from time to time by the park owners during your stay. Although Lake District Lodge Holidays will always try to inform guests in advance if something may impact on a stay and if we have prior knowledge. We cannot be held responsible or accept any liability for park operations of which are outside of our control and which we have no knowledge of.

Any issues relating to a stay at a privately owned lodge should be reported back through Lake District Lodge Holidays as the park are not responsible for managing the lodge or booking for private sublet guests during their stay.

Hot Tubs

All hot tubs are maintained to strict industry standards and HSE guidelines by separate qualified independent contractors on behalf of the property owners. This includes changing the water between guest stays and checking the water condition on a regular basis.

Whilst every effort is made to have a hot tub ready for immediate use by the arrival time stated, this may not always be possible. In such cases the hot tub will usually be ready to use later that day unless otherwise advised. In such cases no compensation or refund is payable unless the hot tub is faulty.

Information about using a hot tub safely is provided at all lodges with a hot tub and on a prominent notice near the tub. All hot tub users should wear an appropriate bathing suit. Usage of a hot tub is at a guests own risk and Lake District Lodge Holidays accepts no liability for anything which may happen to a guest as a direct result of using a hot tub. Please note: for the comfort of other holidays guests we request that noise is kept to a minimum and guests do not use the hot tub after 10 pm.
