The house has been lovingly restored creating a stylish and high quality home individually designed to make the most of this delightful setting. The views down the valley take in the Langdale Pikes and surrounding countryside - even a pretty stone built pack-horse bridge over Langdale Beck. This is a property to admire and enjoy whilst having a well-earned holiday in any season. With the little village of Chapel Stile at the end of the lane you can stroll to a well stocked shop/cafe, village pub and also The Langdale Country Club. The area abounds in fine walking for all ages and abilities with high fells and valley rambles for all. Thrang End is a real 'find' for a few couples together or an extended family...and with so many little extras your holiday will be really special. Sadly this gorgeous property will be only be available until the end of 2021. Accommodation: Entrance porch. Spacious main hallway with feature staircase, side passageway to rear entrance and downstairs wc with basin. Beautiful arched oak door opening to the garden. The impressive dining/kitchen will be much appreciated and sure to be the setting of many happy family gatherings round the table. Feature curved windows with doors open to the south facing patio and Bose digital radio. There are two sitting rooms, a beautiful and relaxing main lounge with log burning stove and a slightly smaller snug for TV and movies (TV, Freeview, iPod/iPhone connector, DVD, Wi-Fi). Extensive selection of books, board games movies. Upstairs you will find four excellent bedrooms. The master (super king-size) has feature curved windows and spacious en-suite (double basin, roll top bath, walk-in wet room shower, separate wc); two further double bedrooms have king-size beds and there is another room twin beds. Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
