The Pullwood Bay estate is located on the quieter, North West shore of Lake Windermere, two miles from Ambleside and within walking distance of the popular Drunken Duck Inn. Our fully-furnished apartments by the lakeside have won the Enjoy England Five Star award for 'exceptional quality of accommodation and customer service' and our woodland cottages on the Pulwood estate offer a pet-friendly, value for money alternative. The property

Skiddaw is a second floor luxury apartment with fine lake views and offers excellent accommodation for four within the delightful Pullwood Bay Estate just two miles from Ambleside. With walks from the door and over fifty acres of beautiful wooded and landscaped grounds guests will enjoy the relaxing ambience and stunning views in this most beautiful Lakeland setting. Dinghy launching is available from the private jetty by prior arrangement. Accommodation: Internal stairs lead to your front door entrance. Inner hallway with coats cupboard. The spacious sitting room has beautiful lake views (65inch flat screen TV with built in freesat, DVD, I-pod docking, Bose surround sound system). The separate dining room has double height windows with commanding lake views and and leads through an open doorway to the kitchen with its full range of Poggenpohl units and integrated appliances. The two bedrooms are reached off the inner hallway. The spacious master bedroom to the front has garden views (king double bed) and is en-suite with shower, basin and wc. The equally spacious second bedroom is a twin with dressing area, and adjacent bathroom with wide walk-in shower,double ended bath, basin and wc. Furnishings throughout are stylish with pastel colours complemented by striking wall coverings in the dining room and a light and relaxing ambience throughout. Underfloor heating. Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
