Accommodation: The cottage is built on two floors with the ground floor set as an open plan, beamed sitting/dining with a comfortable cosy cottage feel (log burner in feature fireplace, flat screen TV, Freeview, DVD, Blu-Ray, Wi-Fi). Hall and Stairs at the end of the lounge lead to the first floor with its delightful king-sized double en-suite room (shower over bath, basin and wc), with a second king en-suite (Shower, basin and WC) both bedrooms with woodland views.
Furnishings throughout are comfortable and tasteful offering a warm welcome in any season.
Outside: Raised patio area to the rear. Parking for two immediately in front to the property no need to use the car again during your stay. All village amenities are within a few minutes stroll. Elterwater is home to the famous Britannia Inn, Quarryman's cottage is lucky enough to be right next door, (discount of 10% off restaurant meals) a very popular place to eat and drink throughout the Lakes. The nearest shop is in Chapel stile (0.6 miles), Ambleside 4.5 miles.

A delightful, rural village nestled right in the heart of the beautiful Lake District National Park. Chapel Stile is an excellent hidden gem, set at the bottom of a stunning valley, flanked on one side by the River Brathay, surrounded by incredible scenery and filled with wonderful slate and stone buildings. The village offers a traditional church from the mid 1800's as well as a café, a pub and a village shop that has stood for well over 100 years. Chapel Stile is a great base for exploring this National Park, with easy access to a number of sights and fells worth visiting. You must go to the lovely neighbouring village of Elterwater and stand on the Skelwith Bridge and simply take in the views. Nearby are the fantastic Lake District towns of Ambleside and Kendal are withing a short driving distance, offering excellent views, buildings and so much to do. For you outdoors people, make sure you visit Bowness-on-Windermere, with its incredible lake activities and so much to do; it's perfect for families.
