“Great location for all the facilities of Bowness.”

The property could not be faulted. There is a bit of a climb to it which could be a slight problem for someone with limited mobility. Would definitely return.

The property

This modern first floor apartment, one of only four, offers an excellent base from which to explore the Lake District whilst enjoying the fine amenities that Bowness has to offer throughout the year. The location is most enjoyable - only a short stroll to both lake and village and yet far enough off the village centre to have a feeling of quietness. Bowness is a venue for all seasons - so many restaurants to choose from that you may never wish to cook, lake cruises on England's largest lake, fine scenery and lovely specialist shops. There are good walks in the area including the Dales Way which starts close-by, whilst those who climb Orrest Head will be rewarded with one of the finest views in the whole Lake District. The Windermere ferry carries cars to the other side of the lake, handy for Hawkshead, Coniston and visits to Beatrix Potter's home at Sawrey. Accommodation: The entrance is at first floor level into a hallway where there is room for your outdoor gear. Attractive open plan sitting/dining room with a modern, well equipped kitchen in the L-shape. Large sunny windows to make the most of the pleasant view over the village towards the lake and Claife Heights (widescreen TV, DVD, video, Wi-Fi, CD player, radio/tape stereo unit.) Two bedrooms - one king with TV and built-in cupboards and a twin. Good bathroom has bath plus power shower, basin and wc. The interior is modern and stylish with nice personal touches providing a relaxing holiday retreat. Quality fitted carpets, double-glazing. Selection of CDs, videos, books and maps supplied. Outside: Private parking for one car with visitor space. Garden area - mostly of lawn - with table and chairs provided. Short walk to village centre and lake approx 300 yards.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £200.
