    - Mrs Noble,

The property

You will find Wilwyn Cottage tucked away in a quiet little cul-de-sac, one of a short terrace of stone built cottages, just a short walk from the centre of Ambleside village and handy for all the local amenities. Walkers and ramblers will find very little need to use the car...with so many walks to enjoy 'from the door' you will be spoiled for choice - The Fairfield Horseshoe is one of the finest high level walks in the Lakes. Climb Loughrigg or Todd Crag for fantastic views, or ramble 'Under Loughrigg' to Rydal and beyond. On easier days you can enjoy exploring local shops for tasty produce, daytime treats and afternoon teas; take an evening stroll out to the many restaurants or pubs; visit the award winning Zeffirelli's Cinema for a choice of the latest films or enjoy a day or evening cruise on magnificent Lake Windermere. Accommodation: Wilwyn Cottage has been completely and sympathetically renovated retaining the cottage feel with a modern, stylish edge. Entrance into front porch where you can leave your outdoor gear. The cosy sitting room (log burning stove, flat screen TV with Satellite Freeview, iPod dock, CD/radio and free Wi-Fi broadband) leads through to the fitted kitchen and there is a back door to the garden. Upstairs you will find two pretty bedrooms - a double to the front and a good single to the rear. Both rooms have decorative period fireplaces and there is a very pleasant view form the double room. Shower room (shower, basin and wc). Furnishings throughout are comfortable with dressed slate floors downstairs with rugs, wooden tread stairs and carpets upstairs. Outside: Parking for one small/medium car to the front of the cottage with additional parking in the garage or parking space for 1 small/medium car 20 metres away. Very pleasant shared rear garden, used by the other few cottages in the row, where you can relax on sunny days. Wilwyn has its own patio area and room to eat out of doors. Outside rear store with hanging for two bicycles. Ambleside village centre a few hundred yards. About the location

AMBLESIDE

Windermere 4 miles; Grasmere 4 mile; Keswick 15 miles.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
