“A lovely property with stunning views.”

Easy private parking. Warm and comfortable. Great bathroom and powerful shower. Comfortable bed. With good quality furnishings. Peaceful and tranquil yet 10 minutes walk from the hustle of Ambleside. The best Lakes holiday accommodation we have stated in. Easy key collection. Really nice to find a ‘pet free’ property of such high quality.

“Very happy with the accommodation, very comfortable, and very warm.”

Wonderful position. Beautiful views. Loved it. So convenient for the town centre but far enough away to be lovely and quiet. Steep climb up from town, which did not worry us, but others may need to be aware. Only very small welcome pack. No hand soap or shower gel, and virtually no toilet roll, but we had our own. Would certainly return.

“So clean! Cleanest property we have ever stayed in.”

Your cleaner is just so thorough. One thing and this is the only thing about this property....it would be really beneficial to have a washing machine!....you get wet and muddy walking, your a wee bit stuck for somewhere to dry it. As you have two properties that have a joining entrance, then may be the two properties could share a washing machine in the foyer? ....just a thought? But as I said its just one thing. We had a fabulous time at Willobank. Thank you. PS what were the names of the sweet little sheep and Ram? We named them Dolly & Derek ...Woke up one morning to Derek looking in through the front glass patio door! So cute

“Induction hob, and/or saucepans made cooking extremely slow/difficult.”

Limited amount of cutlery and crockery made dishwasher of no use as all had to be hand washed after every meal. Just three wine glasses?! One glass tumbler and two plastic ones - completely unacceptable. For week long rentals (and so far from amenities) a small freezer in addition to refrigerator ice box is a necessity.

The property is not advertised with a freezer but Ambleside is only a 10 minute walk or 2 min drive away for shops, pubs and restaurants. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. “The bathroom was excellent, the bedroom and lounge very nice and the kitchen area just about ok.”

It needs a potato peeler, a better corkscrew and a covered dish for microwave cooking. Minimal cutlery and crockery required dishwasher use sometimes twice a day e.g. only four of each item. Being up a hill and out of town made it a quiet location with fabulous views. The garden was well kept and sitting on the veranda watching rabbits and the sunset made it a place to remember.

Great outdoor space and view. Away from the crowds yet could walk into Ambleside. Comfy lounge furniture. Kitchen perfect and well equipped.

We really enjoyed our stay. Only slight negative to mention was lack of internet until Tuesday, despite reporting it on Saturday morning. But, overall, a lovely place to stay and would gladly return.

“This is really only being extremely picky as we loved the Property and the location.”

One thing we found missing, due to cooking our own meals there was no potato/vegetable peeler. Unable to control the towel radiator in the Bathroom it seemed to come on for a short preset daytime period. Also in the description I do not remember if it explained that the 10/15 minute walk to Ambleside is very steep, plus only disc parking allowed on streets, no disc available to use at the property. There are pay car parks but an inconvienience if only wanting single item like a Loaf of Bread etc and street spaces were available.

R The only reservation we had was steepness and the distance of the hill from the accomadation to Ambleside.In the description of the accomadation it said”Short walk downhill to Ambleside.” but the hill was very very steep.Not good to walk up.Having said that the whole experience was good

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes.
