    Lounge so uncomfortable sofa and chair,not fit for purpose. Sunk and no support.Scratched and pulled.Huge cobwebs along ceiling, hanging over curtains and pictures.Looked dirty.Especially above dining area picture.Dining table surface sticky , even table mats stuck to it.Fire not working ...

Bathroom dated and taps hard to turn on and off. Lino floor and shower curtain that was difficult to pull. Cushions for outdoor chairs filthy. Kitchen had all implements you need Towels clean, bedding clean, beds comfy. Good position of house and parking. For two cars. Good facilities in garage for washing , drying and keeping walking gear. This house was definitely not worth the money but it wouldn’t take much to brighten it up and make it more comfortable.

This well appointed modern mid-terraced house lies in a quiet residential area of Ambleside with good views to both front and rear. The property will make an ideal base for your Lake District holiday. There is no need to use the car on a daily basis - Ambleside centre is a short down hill stroll away where you will find a fine selection of places to eat out, pubs, cafes, interesting local shops and good entertainment including an award winning cinema, bowls, tennis, mini-golf and much more. Stroll down to Waterhead for an enjoyable cruise or boat hire on Lake Windermere or make the most of the wonderful fell walking or valley rambles that surround this beautiful area. Stoneleigh has been refurbished to provide a comfortable and surprisingly spacious holiday home ideal in any season whilst large windows create a light and sunny aspect. Accommodation: Front entrance vestibule with hooks for coats etc. The sitting/dining room runs through the house with windows front and rear (gas living flame fire, widescreen TV with Sky package, DVDand free Wi-Fi). French windows open to the rear decked patio. Fitted kitchen with back door to the patio. A door from the sitting room opens to the small inner hall and to the stairs. Three bedrooms on the first floor offer a double with king-size bed and a single room to the front, and a double to the rear. Family bathroom has bath with shower over, basin and wc. Further stairs lead to the games room on the top floor with TV, DVD and some easy seating in the form of bean bags and cushions. The property is furnished throughout in a comfortable and modern style, with fitted carpets upstairs and hardwood floors through the ground floor. Outside: Open plan garden with wide driveway to the front of the house. The rear garden has a raised decked patio with garden seating. Parking for two cars in the driveway. Good safe storage for bikes in the garage which also has an internal door to the house. Village centre shops, pubs etc 300 yards.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
