“Absolutely lovely property, very clean and all facilities we needed were there.”

It was our little boy's first holiday and he loved it - the toys and high chair in the property were ideal for him. Modern but comfortable. The layout wasn't quite as expected - the description read like the property was entered via the second floor and was on 2 levels which we thought would be ideal for our elderly guests, however it is up 2 flights of stairs to access the property and then once inside there were 2 floors. “Booked this for a Christmas present for family getaway.”

Was lovely accommodation done to a high standard. Was thoroughly clean throughout and the beds were super comfy! Had everything you would need for a self catering place and more!! Gorgeous location about 8 mins walks into Ambleside. View of the water and steam/river is lovely. Ideal location for exploring the lakes. The only thing I would say about number 21 is it is your a couple flights of stairs so not so good for people who have bad legs. We will definitely be going back as this did not put us off. One of the best places I have stayed in!

Also the wifi did not work in the upstairs bedrooms. It would have been nice to have more that one tv.

“Great apartment & location with a really well equipped kitchen, very different to some rentals where you struggle to find a can opener or corkscrew.”

It is a bit odd not being able to lock the bathroom doors though. We had 2 teenagers + 1 20 something in our party. We resorted to leaving a headscarf on the door to indicate occupancy, better than singing! I have a BMW X3. Not possible to get it into 1 of the parking spaces, and had to halt the tailgate opening to prevent it hitting the ceiling on the other. Getting the car through the exit archway required tucking the mirrors in and somebody standing in front to guide me. It is really tight! It is be probably worth mentioning this for owners of any family saloon or bigger than an Astra-sized car.

“Mill Top was on the top floor of the apartment building and was a lovely spacious living space with plenty of crockery/glasses and a dishwasher.”

There were views over the local stream (sadly no access from the west side) and it was relaxing to hear the stream and feel the air freshness with the windows slightly open. There were 2 parking spaces but sadly the numbers were painted on the floor and someone had just parked in one when we arrived and so we could not find the second space. A diagram for future customers would be useful. there were guest spaces and we used on of those until we discovered the second. Ambleside is a short walk away, steep on the return. We were lucky enough to get a completely dry week and would definitely book this accommodation again.

“Lovely property - 2nd floor flat in a complex.”

Car parking was difficult - narrow access, and hard to turn car round in small space. Ended up parking in nearby visitor space. Kitchen expelair was not ideal - when it was on it smelled of curry. We cooked some steaks on the hob and set off the smoke alarm. Quite a dark main lounge area - we used the sofa upstairs in the main bedroom as it was lighter. Property was well maintained and very clean. Joining instructions were clear. Key box was easy to use. Lots to see and do in the area, and a short walk into Ambleside.

This spacious apartment has been completely renovated and refurbished to a high standard. It has some of the best views of all the properties at The Falls directly overlooking the tumbling waters of Stock Ghyll Falls on two sides. Stylish decor and comfortable furnishings make the most of this spacious holiday home. Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes.
