    “The property was advertised and featured photographs of a balcony overlooking the Ghyll , when we arrived there was no key for the door , over the next 3 days we spent time on the phone , live chat , WhatsApp etc to be told the day before we left that the balcony was out of bounds , understand these things happen , but the multiple calls and messages not being returned was extremely frustrating, this included by daughter managing to get through to your call centre only to be told that due to data protection they could not discuss the booking with her !”

As a data protection compliant company, we can only speak to the lead booker unless they have released permission for another person to be in contact. This spacious apartment on two floors has been completely renovated and given the stylish, modern and comfortable feel that proves to be so popular with our many guests. Ghyll View will be ideal for those looking for a good location with ample opportunities for walking and touring in the heart of the lakes. As with all our other properties at The Falls the village centre is just a short stroll away down Peggy Hill where you will find individual shops for all your holiday needs and a wide range of places to eat with something for every taste and pocket. Accommodation: The property is entered via a few steps along a covered balcony. You have plenty of hanging space just inside the front door before stepping through into the spacious sitting /dining room with flat screen Smart TV with Freesat, including Netflix and other channels, wi-fi, dvd, sound bar with integrated ipod/phone dock. Full height glass doors open onto a small balcony with bistro set. The kitchen is fully fitted with integrated equipment. Stairs from the hall lead down to the three bedrooms. The master has a king sized double and en-suite walk-in shower, basin and wc. The second bedroom is double and there is a further good sized twin. The modern family bathroom has bath with shower over, basin and wc. The owners have created their dream holiday home with ample space for all the family or for couples wishing to stay together with excellent facilities including plenty of home comforts, gas central heating and fitted carpets. Outside: Parking for two cars in named spaces (other ad hoc. visitor parking available). Short easy downhill walk to the village centre for shops, eating out and entertainment. Many walks and rambles from the door and a walk to Lake Windermere for lake cruises.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
