It was only 10 minutes walk from the bus station giving good access to other Lakeland attractions.

“The accommodation was excellent, everything we could have wanted and more.”

On arrival we met Angela (holiday link) she appeared genuinely pleased to see us, providing us with information regarding the apartment and locality (she even offered to help with our luggage and shopping bags) and was on hand to answer a couple of questions during our week stay (nothing seemed a problem to her) On entering the apartment we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack and an immediate feeling of quality. The location is ideal, very central for all amenities and great walking from the doorstep. We would definitely recommend to others and we have already booked another weeks stay in September. “A lovely property in a great location.”

Clean and with everything we needed. Parking, though allocated, really only suits a small car as access was difficult. We didn't realise when we booked just how close to everything the apartment was. A short walk to the lake or into the town centre. We didn't need our car at all on those days.

“Howe Keld apartments have furniture and fittings of quality not normally found in self-catering accommodation.”

Very comfortable beds, good shower and a well equipped kitchen. Excellent drying room in the basement with washing machine available for guests. The on-site housekeeper was very friendly and helpful. Excellent accommodation in the centre of Keswick.

“We were privileged to be the first people to stay in this beautiful property.”

We found the property to be stunningly furnished and decorated throughout. There was everything you need for a comfortable stay from all the appliances and utensils to the washing and drying room. Thanks for the yummy welcome goodies which is a lovely touch. Angela the friendly and lovely building manager is always at hand if needed. This fantastic ground-floor apartment of Howe Keld 2 is located in the lovely town of Keswick, Cumbria. Howe Keld 2 is the ideal location for a couple wishing to get away from the busyness of everyday life, with excellent views of Borrowdale and close proximity to Derwentwater. On-site parking greets you on arrival, so you can get your break off to a swift start. Make your way inside to the communal entryway before settling down to the contemporary open-plan living area. Take a seat in the sitting room, where bay windows let in plenty of natural light while you relax in front of the Smart TV and electric fireplace. The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone.
