Marketing Assistant

We are seeking somebody who is a highly-motivated individual working well under your own initiative; you will also be very comfortable working within a dynamic team.

You must have a "can do" attitude, as well as enjoy seeing projects right through until the very finishing touches are completed. We want you to be a good communicator and enjoy supporting, helping and working with other people, both within the marketing team and within the rest of the company and providers.

  • Salary: from £16,000 - £18000 (Dependent on experience)
  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Must be able to drive
  • Based in Ambleside at Heart of the Lakes Office

The role

This new Marketing Assistant job is based in our Ambleside office. You’ll be working closely with the Marketing Manager, as well as liaising with and supporting the Heart of the Lakes team and other core business.

As Marketing Assistant you’ll be instrumental in helping to make our group’s marketing strategy a success. You’ll coordinate a variety of marketing activities, including events, social media and communications for the businesses.

What we need

We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketing and an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills.

You’ll be a handsā€on and proactive individual, able to work in a very fast paced and fluid environment, whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

You’ll have prior experience of digital marketing, social media and website content management activities, as well as design skills. Ideally you will have good knowledge of WordPress and/or similar tools.

It would be great if you have an interest in design and can learn new systems quickly, both to enhance your own knowledge but also to help support other areas of the business.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with graphic/design software.
  • Computer literate (Windows/MS Office) and open to learning new systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Logical and numerate, comfortable with analysis.
  • A natural interest and curiosity in marketing, technology and the Internet.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Must have experience of design and marketing including social media.
  • Accurate, organised and conscientious.
  • Passion and an aptitude for building relationships.
  • A strong team player with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
