The cottage is newly created from a stable, attached to a Georgian farmhouse which is a Bed and Breakfast that nestles beneath Thornthwaite Forest and looks out over green fields to the magnificent mountain scenery of Skiddaw and the Helvellyn range and beyond Keswick to the east.
The tiny cottage is a walkers' and cyclists' paradise on the edge of Thornthwaite village. There are many walks to be enjoyed from the door and in the surrounding area as well as easy access to the wonderful fells around Newlands, Borrowdale and the wild and beautiful West Lakes area. Yards from the door, the forestry track enters Whinlatter Forest with its miles of forestry tracks suitable for mountain biking. Cruise on beautiful Derwentwater, visit Mire House and the Osprey viewing point (in season).
