A Message from the Owners
"We first saw Woodside on a perfect summer's day. The little lane off the Windermere to Ambleside road lead to a peaceful site. The lovely former farm buildings had just been converted into high quality homes, all in local stone yet packed with modern appliances. The views sold it to us - Lake Windermere sparkling in the sunshine.
Since that day, we have seen all the seasons from this lovely site. We love its position - central for the main sights, lots of places to eat in easy reach, and pleasant walks on the doorstep. We have enjoyed it with our young family - something for all ages.
We hope that you will find Woodside your home from home too."

The area offers much to the holidaymaker - with Ambleside for shopping and eating out, and a good pub nearby at Troutbeck Bridge. The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole, just a few minutes stroll away, has footpaths to Lake Windermere and lake cruises in season. For a special night out the Merewood Hotel is within easy walking distance.

Accommodation: Ground floor entrance into the hallway where you can 'decamp' and leave your outdoor gear. The main living area at first floor level is a split level open room which offers a sitting area to the front (TV, DVD, video, CD/radio) and lake views. The open-plan dining room and integrated kitchen to the rear of the house at a slightly lower level offers a social atmosphere when preparing meals. Walk-in boiler/drying cupboard.

The bedrooms are situated on the top and ground floors - a double room on the ground floor having en-suite with shower, basin and wc and a further large bedroom with two single beds and adjacent bathroom (with bath) at the top of the house. This arrangement would be ideal for families or two couples wishing to stay together having their own facilities. (Sleeps 2 price applies when one bedroom only is used.)

Furnishings throughout are modern and stylish with good use of light woods, fitted carpets and gas central heating - Woodside will offer a warm welcome in any season.

Outside: A rustic decked patio area and wooded bank has been created at the top floor level to the rear of the house where you can sit outside and enjoy this delightful location and lake views. There are also shared gardens and grounds for your use and private parking for one car right in front of the house.
