In a delightful setting on the road into Chapel Stile this deceptively spacious, stone built, former slater's cottage dates from around 1800. With the village centre a few hundred yards away you have a good pub and a well-stocked village shop for all your daily needs and the cottage is ideally placed for some of the best walking available in the National Park. The Langdale Pikes, Bowfell and the highest peaks of Scafell and Scafell Pike can be tackled from the head of Great Langdale, there are picturesque riverside walks to Skelwith and good days to be had on Loughrigg hiking over to Grasmere.

Accommodation: Front door porch into spacious lounge/dining room with beamed ceiling (TV, video, DVD, CD/radio/cassette, log fire and electric fire). Door through to rear kitchen which has a door to the garden. Upstairs there are two bedrooms - a good sized double to the front and a second bedroom which is smaller with twin beds. The front room has a pleasant outlook over the river with mature trees on the river bank. Bathroom - bath with shower over, basin and separate wc.

The property is comfortably furnished with fitted carpets and gas (propane) central heating. The oak beams in the sitting room are a real feature.

Outside: The little terraced rear garden has a table and chairs - a lovely spot to sit with a glass of wine or a barbecue. On-street parking nearby.
