Convenient at any time of the year and first built in the 1980s, the interior has been brought up to date and is carefully planned to make the most of the available space.
The property sits in an elevated location overlooking the rooftops and down into the village with panoramic views to Loughrigg Fell and to the Fairfield Horseshoe - you can watch the world go by from the balcony whilst planning your next busy day. Top Notch is one of a small number of privately owned apartments close to the centre of Ambleside and handy for all amenities.
A stroll down into the village will bring you to a wealth of restaurants, local shops with excellent produce, an award-winning cinema and much more, whilst Lake Windermere is only ten minutes away on foot for lake cruises, boat hire and lake shore picnics. Many walks can be done 'from the door' including the climbs up Wansfell, Loughrigg and Todd Crag, whilst easier valley rambles would take you to Rydal and beyond to Grasmere by various routes.
Accommodation: Entrance is via a wide glass sun porch with ample room for leaving outdoor gear, a boot rack and table with two chairs. Step into the fitted galley kitchen which in turn leads through to the light and sunny sitting/dining room with full height patio door opening on to the south-west facing balcony (wall mounted flat screen TV, DVD, gas fire).
A small inner hallway off the lounge accesses the newly fitted bathroom - larger than average with electric shower over the bath, basin and wc. A half-flight of stairs accesses the two bedrooms - one double with king-size bed and one twin - both rooms have a range of built-in furniture offering plenty of storage for your personal items.
Furnishings throughout are smart and comfortable and the apartment has a bright holiday feel with views to the south and west.
Outside: Parking for one car. Pedestrian exit via a number of steps takes you down to the shops and restaurants.
