The Flat is a cosy and welcoming apartment in a quiet residential area and just a short level stroll from the centre of Ambleside and ideal for a couple at any time of the year. You can make this your base for exploring the beautiful Lake District either on foot, by bus or car, and with so many walks to choose from right from the door your holiday will probably seem far too short.

Ramble round Under Loughrigg to Rydal and back through Rydal Hall grounds, or stroll to the lake where cruises can be enjoyed in any season. Scramble to the top of Todd Crag to enjoy the most amazing view down the lake or take in the nine mile round of the famous Fairfield Horseshoe - one of the great Lakeland high fell walks.

With a wealth of cafés and restaurants to tempt you, from the simple to the most discerning, as well as a lively cinema and good local shops, you have everything you need nearby for an enjoyable holiday.

Accommodation: Shared enclosed porch has stairs to the first floor entrance hall. The cosy sitting/dining room has a quiet air of comfort (TV with satellite family package, DVD). Door through to inner hallway and good sized kitchen. The bathroom has bath with shower over, basin and wc.

The bedroom is on an upper floor reached via stairs from the entrance hall - with interesting roof lines and 5' zip-linked double bed this is a cosy retreat at the end of a busy day (en-suite half bathroom with basin and wc).

Outside: Off road private parking for one car. Short stroll to all village amenities.
