This imaginatively converted stone-built barn is set end-on to the road and just a short level walk from the head of Lake Windermere from where lake cruises can be enjoyed throughout the year. The cottage has been created from a former Lakeland barn notable for its ancient stone work and reputed to be one of the oldest buildings in Ambleside.

Lowfold Barn has been carefully planned and equipped with your holiday comfort in mind and with four bedrooms and three bathrooms will surely be the base for many happy Lake District holidays for families or a number of couples wishing to stay together.

Numerous walks from the door include the fell tops of Wansfell, Loughrigg Fell, Todd Crag and the Fairfield Horseshoe, whilst a fine selection of restaurants, café's and pubs will suit every taste and pocket. Ambleside is a destination for all seasons with interesting shops, multi-screen cinema, tennis, bowls, mini-golf and much more.

Accommodation: Entrance into open plan dining hall which also has French windows opening onto a stylish split level patio garden. The sitting room is accessed up two steps from the dining area and offers ample comfortable seating (wide screen TV with Sky variety package, DVD, CD player, flame effect gas fire). Stylish oak breakfast-kitchen with granite work surfaces. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom (king-sized bed) and separate shower room (shower, basin and wc).

Upstairs you will find three further bedrooms - a master king sized double en-suite (shower, basin and wc), a second twin room and a good sized single. The family bathroom has bath, separate shower, basin and wc.

Furnishings throughout are modern and mostly of oak reflecting the use of natural woods in the window frames and doors. Leather sofas and neutral colour schemes with fitted carpets throughout complete the accommodation.
