Nestling in the historic village of Troutbeck this charming character cottage dating back to 1649 will make a comfortable base for a relaxing holiday in any season.
Beamed ceilings, quaint windows and open fire are complemented by modern features and with two good pubs in the village and a little local shop you can make the most of village life. Accommodation: Front door entrance into small hallway (hooks for coats etc.), the sitting/dining room has open fire and windows at either end and a hatch through to the kitchen (flat screen TV with Sky Freeview and DVD). The kitchen is fitted in oak with the addition of an attractive pine dresser and has a back door to the rear patio. Separate small laundry room.
Upstairs there are two double bedded rooms - the rear one having outlooks down the valley whilst the bedroom to the front of the cottage looks up to the sloping field opposite. Newly fitted bathroom with electric shower over the bath, basin and wc.
The cottage is comfortable with fitted carpets throughout and quarry tiled floors to hall and kitchen. Lots of personal touches complement the interior and there are beams in all the rooms. Heating is electric with storage heaters.
Outside: Parking for one car in front of the cottage wall. The sheltered rear patio with table and chairs makes a delightful place to relax and enjoy eating out of doors in warmer times. Short walk to village shop. Both the nearby Mortal Man, and the Queen's Head are well known hostelries serving good food (both within walking distance).
