Dating back to 1820 Lillibet Cottage is a beautifully restored contemporary cottage located within the town's conservation area, only a two minute stroll from the centre yet deceptively quiet. The property has some quirky features, such as an original slate staircase, period fireplaces and exposed timber beams. There are some wonderful views from the top floor of the house including a bird's eye view of mighty Skiddaw and its range, as well as over the town and beyond towards Bassenthwaite.

All the facilities and attractions of Keswick town centre are within easy reach, offering a wealth of excellent shops, restaurants, pubs, a cinema, Cars of the Stars motor collection, Cumberland Pencil Museum and the award winning Theatre by the Lake with its year round live performances. Cruises and boat hire can be enjoyed on Derwentwater, whilst the surrounding mountains such as Blencathra and Latrigg provide some of the finest walks in Lakeland, and are in addition to the splendid choice of less strenuous low level walks, for example Friars Crag. All this without needing to use the car!

Accommodation: Entrance into dining hall with feature decorative fireplace and contemporary oak furniture. Hallway leads to lounge with leather sofas, feature decorative fireplace with electric stove, TV, DVD and video. Steep slate stairway leads down from the dining room to the fully equipped kitchen which also has a small breakfast table and back door leading to the parking area.

First floor comprises a king-size en-suite bedroom (shower, wc and basin) with TV, a single bedroom, and family bathroom featuring bath with shower over, basin and wc. The second floor has a spacious double bedroom with sloping rooflines, a large velux window with some lovely fell views over the rooftops, and a seating area and TV.

The property is furnished in a comfortable contemporary style with co-ordinating colour schemes throughout. Fitted carpets, double glazed sash windows, gas central heating and hot water on demand. Towels provided. An ideal holiday retreat all year round.
