A superb blend of modern day living and comfort in an idyllic location in the centre of the Lakes. We have never seen a lodge of this quality and style before, and are sure that it will be a hit with all our holiday guests.
Latterbarrow is part of an exclusive Lake District development of only five lodges in a superb, yet quiet location on the edge of picturesque Hawkshead village. Set on a peaceful, gently elevated site bordered by Black Beck and commanding glorious country views, the lodge is ideally located approximately quarter of a mile walk to all of Hawkshead's amenities including a wide range of shops, pubs, a chemist, post office and church. Beautiful Tarn Hows and Grizedale Forest are close by, as well as footpaths leading to the tops of Claife Heights and Latterbarrow itself for fine panoramic views up and down Windermere Lake. Hawkshead has strong connections to both Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth.

Latterbarrow is a place for all seasons. In summer, light fills the lodge from full length windows and skylights and the deck offers the perfect place to watch the sun go down whilst listening to the tumbling waters of the beck just yards away. In winter, the Scandinavian-style log burner and dimmable lighting create a cosy and stylish retreat from the elements.
Accommodation: Entrance, via a useful boot room with hanging space for outdoor gear, into the contemporary and well planned lounge/kitchen/dining room. This space is light and airy with oak flooring, vaulted ceiling and two sets of double glass doors leading onto the decking area. Stylish lounge area with leather corner sofa (flat screen TV/DVD with freesat, free wireless broadband via satellite, CD Player, iPod docking station) to one side and to the other the dining area and stylish fitted kitchen with Silestone worktops and wooden breakfast bar. The woodburning stove sits in the middle of this space so that the dancing flames can be enjoyed from any part of the room.
There are two double bedrooms, both with king-size beds, fitted wardrobes and fully carpeted. The master bedroom has a very good sized fully tiled en-suite (large walk-in rainshower, basin, wc and heated towel rail) and a panoramic window giving uninterrupted views of the summit of Latterbarrow, after which the lodge is named. The main bathroom is fully tiled in warm travertine with granite top (rainshower over bath, basin, wc and heated towel rail).
