Situated in the village of Hawkshead and only a short level walk from the centre of this delightful village, Heron Cottage is a modern terraced cottage, part of a small courtyard of similar properties. Hawkshead is one of Lakeland's prettiest villages - and will appeal to visitors of all ages with its charming local shops, tea rooms and good pubs, ideal for a holiday at any time of the year.

Grizedale Forest, where you will find the famous forest/sculpture trails and mountain biking, is nearby and also Beatrix Potter's house at Hilltop is a must. There is fishing on nearby Esthwaite Water, and many opportunities for touring to all parts of the National Park.

Accommodation: Front door leads into small porchway where there is a small cupboard to store boots and there are hooks in the hallway to hang your coats etc.. Door leads into cosy open style sitting/dining room which is furnished in attractive fabrics and pine furniture (TV, video, radio/cassette/CD player, electric fire). French doors lead out onto the small enclosed patio area with a bench to sit out. An archway leads from the dining area into a small fitted kitchen with all major appliances.

Upstairs are two bedrooms - one double and one twin both with views out across the fields towards Claife Heights. Newly fitted family bathroom with bath, electric shower over, basin and wc.

Heron Cottage is tastefully furnished with much thought to your holiday comfort. Storage heaters and fitted carpets throughout. The cottage is cosy in any season and ideally placed for those who wish to enjoy the village facilities without using the car.

Outside: There is a small sitting out area with garden furniture to the front of the property. Private parking for one car.
