Long-standing clients will remember picturesque stone-built Goody Bridge Cottage, which was always one of our most sought-after properties, so we are very pleased to welcome back this delightful detached Lakeland hideaway - perfect for a couple at any time of the year.
The location on the outskirts of Grasmere is ideal for walks and rambles - Easedale Tarn and the high fells can be explored 'from the door' and you are within easy strolling distance of Grasmere village for eating out and local shopping. A gateway from behind the property leads through the field to the river with stepping stones and footpath to Silver How.
Dating from the 18th Century, the cottage is known to have been the dairy where Wordsworth bought his milk. The owners live in the main farmhouse across the courtyard and have given every thought to your holiday comfort - they will make you welcome and leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday.
Accommodation: The cottage has been refurbished for 2008 whilst retaining the character feel and the accommodation is all on one level. Entrance door into the kitchen which leads through into the good sized central sitting room with beamed ceiling (TV, DVD, living flame gas fire, stereo/radio/cassette and CD player). Double bedroom with king-sized brass bedstead. Bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and wc.
Furnishings throughout are comfortable and tastefully in-keeping with the cottage. The cosy atmosphere makes it ideal for any time of the year with fitted carpets throughout and gas central heating.
Outside: There is room to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine or relax on quieter days. The cottage is in an enviable position, in peaceful surroundings and with so much to do in the area you may never need to use your car.
