Garden Cottage is part of a large country house that was once owned by the Wordsworth family, situated in a quiet rural location on the western side of Grasmere Lake. This hidden gem provides all modern comforts and is furnished to a very high standard - enjoying some lake views from the rear garden.

There are walks from the door to Silver How and Loughrigg, as well as the Rydal and Grasmere Round. Grasmere village is within half an hour's walk, and the footpath to Elterwater passes the gate.

Accommodation: Entrance through small courtyard into hallway with room to hang coats. Doors lead off hallway to spacious bedroom with super king-size bed, luxury shower room with stone flooring and tiling, and lounge/dining room with flat screen TV with family sky package, DVD player, mini hi-fi and living flame gas stove. Country house style kitchen leads off lounge and features quality appliances, slate worktops, small breakfast area and back door to the laundry and garden.

Furnishings throughout are very comfortable with colour co-ordinated décor and soft furnishings. The cosy atmosphere makes it ideal for holidays any time of the year with fitted carpets and stone floors throughout and oil central heating.

Outside: Just outside the back door is the laundry room with separate washer and dryer. A number of steps lead up to the hillside garden/patio where you can enjoy a glass of wine and some views of Grasmere Lake. The cottage is in an enviable position in peaceful surroundings and with so much to do in the area you may never need to use your car.
