'Heart of the Lakes' is proud to sponsor the renowned Rydal Round Fell Race held at the world famous Ambleside Sports each year.

This prestigious event which attracts athletes from all over the UK is the premier event at the sports meeting and 'The Heart of the Lakes' Rose Bowl is presented to the winner.

Athletes competing in the Rydal Round Fell Race run a gruelling nine mile course from the sports ground at Rydal Hall round the Fairfield Horseshoe to the summit of Fairfield and back.

Ambleside Sports is a fine family day out in the magnificent setting of Rydal Park surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. If you are planning to be at Ambleside Sports we hope to see you there.

Langdale Marathon
'Heart of the Lakes' is delighted to be involved as major sponsors of the Langdale Marathon. This challenging race, and its sister half-marathon, attracts a high quality field of runners and takes in the wonderful scenery of the Great and Little Langdale valleys from its start in Great Langdale. The next Langdale Marathon is on Sunday 14th September 2008.
