You can make the most of an excellent cinema, daytime activities, lake cruises and cycle hire or challenge yourself to a great day in the hills - the Fairfield Horseshoe is one of the finest high fell walks in the National Park. For easier days there are some delightful valley and lake shore rambles - especially popular being the lane known as 'Under Loughrigg' which leads to Rydal and Grasmere via the beautiful Rydal Water.
Accommodation: Outside steps to the entrance door access a small shared entrance porch. Storage space for boots and jackets. Attractive sitting/dining room has a large window with a very pleasant outlook and is equipped with flat screen TV, CD/radio unit and combined DVD/video player. Door through to well equipped fitted kitchen in beech units.
The double bedroom is en-suite with the - larger than expected - well appointed bathroom and offers a luxury touch at the end of a busy day (bath with shower over, basin and wc).
Buttermere is furnished in contemporary style - comfortable and cosy with gas central heating, wooden floors with rug in the lounge, fitted carpet in the bedroom and slate tiled floor in the bathroom. The light and welcoming atmosphere completes the scene.
Outside: Parking for one car immediately outside the property. Short downhill walk to village shops and facilities.
