Making a Booking

We offer three ways to book from the web site but please first ensure you have checked the availability of your chosen holiday property. To make a shortlist of properties go to Property Search and select the criteria that are important to you, possibly including a week commencing date. The full availability and prices of each property are displayed when you click on the link in the sub-menu on the right hand side of the property description page.

Alternatively, if you already know the name of the property you would like to book, then check its availability by going to availability. When you have checked the availability of the property you will be able to 'Make a Reservation'. We will confirm your reservation and provisionally book the property which holds it for seven days. You will then be asked to complete a Booking Form and make payment.

On confirmation from us that the property is available, the Booking Form, deposit and cancellation cover must reach us within seven days. Please note: the cancellation cover does not apply to bookings from outside the UK. Overseas bookings will need to supply proof of their own comprehensive travel insurance.

Our Confirmation of Booking form will be sent to you within ten days.

The balance for the holiday must be received six weeks before the holiday commences.

On receipt of the final balance you will be sent details regarding access to the property including location map, and arrangements concerning keys etc..

May we please ask you to carefully read the Conditions of Booking information, as we have assured all our owners that the high standards they have set themselves will be maintained by our tenants. We are sure you will understand the need for these safeguards as they enable you to book with confidence.

Paying by cheque/card by Mail: Please print out, complete and sign the Booking Form and mail it to us with your deposit and cancellation premium. Please make cheques payable to 'Heart of the Lakes'.

Paying by card using Fax: Please print out, complete and sign the Booking Form, including your card details and fax it to us with your deposit and cancellation premium calculated.

Paying by card using Online Secure Server: Please fill in the Secure Booking Form, including your card details. All details that are submitted to us in this way are completely secure.

Paying Final Balance by card using Online Secure Server: If you choose to pay your final balance by debit card or credit card rather than by cheque, please fill in the Secure Balance Payment form.

PAYMENT NOTICE!

In order to avoid surcharges on credit card payments we would love you to consider paying by either cheque, Switch/Maestro or other debit card.

However, if payment is made by credit card for either deposit or final balance payment a 2½% surcharge will be levied.
