A traditional detached Lakeland house set in its own private and mature gardens, Bleaze End lies in a quiet rural setting with fine views of the Lakeland fells and only a mile from Ullswater Lake. The property has been carefully prepared for letting and offers comfortable accommodation to a larger family or two families who wish to stay together.
The area abounds in natural beauty - Ullswater Lake is one of Lakeland's most delightful larger lakes where you can enjoy lake cruises and boat hire. An enviable choice of mountain walks in the area include Helvellyn and the famous Striding Edge, St. Sunday Crag, Fairfield, Place Fell, High Street and beyond to Kentmere. Good local pub and village shop less than half a mile away. Bleaze End is a delightful house and is sure to be the setting for many happy holidays amid some of the finest scenery in the Lake District.
Accommodation: The front door entrance leads into the main hallway but the usual way in is by the back door via a utility area/boot room. Large farmhouse style breakfast kitchen where the oil-fired Aga assures you of a warm welcome. South facing, spacious sitting/dining room has doors to the patio and garden and fine views to the fells (open fire, TV, video, hi-fi).
There is a ground floor twin bedroom and a ground floor bathroom (bath with shower, basin and wc). Central staircase leads to the four further bedrooms - two large corner doubles, one with washbasin, and both with king-sized beds; one smaller twin room and one single. Bathroom with shower and basin. Separate wc.
There are fine views from all the main rooms, most of which have two windows, giving the whole house a light and airy feel. Furnishings throughout are mostly of pine and with a traditional farmhouse feel.
Outside: The patio area outside the sitting room has south facing views. Barbecue. Garden table and chairs. Extensive mature garden of approximately one acre - some lawns, many trees and shrubs and a haven for wildlife including many bird varieties. Ample parking for three/four cars in the drive with additional space in the double garage - room for bikes.
